Memory management not working

So im not sure why this is happening, but when I updated to this new version of NVGE the memory management has seemed to be not working. The previous version would bump me up to 4GB of Vram usage but now its back down to 3 GB which is what it was before I started using the previous version of NVGE. Any help would be appreciated

I dont understand.......the memory management is used to maintan a low memory usage. So if does it get down from 4 to 3, where is the problem?

My game loses FPS when less VRAM is used so i figured that the memory management was a tool to make the game use more VRAM instead of RAM which I thought caused more stutters and other performance issues when used over VRAM. I'm sorry if I'm wrong here I really dont know thats why i asked. I do know that the previous version uses more VRAM though, and in turn my game has higher FPS and runs smoother.
